Parts

The Parts tab lists all things relating to parts:

  • You can view a list of all the parts fitted to your vessel
  • Open the dashboard for an individual part where you can view everything about that part in one place.
  • View manuals associated with that part such as user guides and maintenance schedules
  • View and upload documents
  • Update meter readings if the part has a service schedule based on running hours
  • Log unplanned maintenance against a part

Part dashboard

Each part has its own dashboard where everything to do with that part is found, if in doubt where to look on the system to find something this is always a good place to go to. Click the parts tab, click ‘all parts’ and click on the part you are interested in. You will be able to:

  • View and acknowledge notifications
  • View and update meter readings
  • View and manage manufacturer and custom service schedules
  • View part manuals
  • View and attach documents
  • Open defect reports
  • Add unplanned maintenance

Manufacturer & Custom Schedules

A Part is a piece of equipment on your vessel that has a service schedule dictated by the manufacturer. Manufacturer service schedules are held on the Marine Cloud database and cannot be edited by you. If you wish to turn of a manufacturer service schedule and use your own maintenance schedule this is possible by building your own Custom Schedule which can run at the same time as a manufacturer schedule, or replace it.

Manufacturer service schedules

Manufacturer service schedules are held in the Marine Cloud database and cannot be edited or changed. You can turn manufacturer schedules off at any time and create your own custom service schedule.

View a manufacturer service schedule

Click on the parts tab and click on ‘all parts’ open the part dashboard for the part you want to turn off the manufacturer schedule for by clicking on the part or clicking the ‘view part’ button.
Click ‘view and manage schedules’
You will see a list of the service schedules for that part and you can click to view the details of each.

Turning off manufacturer schedules

Click on the parts tab and click on ‘all parts’ open the part dashboard for the part you want to turn off the manufacturer schedule for by clicking on the part or clicking the ‘view part’ button.
Click ‘view and manage schedules’ If manufacturer schedules are active the button will be green, click the ‘notifications on’ button and confirm turning off the manufacturer schedule. The button will now have turned red and will say ‘notifications off’ to turn the manufacturer schedule back on just click this red button.

Turning on manufacturer schedules

Click on the parts tab and click on ‘all parts’ open the part dashboard for the part you want to turn off the manufacturer schedule for by clicking on the part or clicking the ‘view part’ button.
Click ‘view and manage schedules’ If manufacturer schedules have been turned off the button will be red, click the ‘notifications off’ button and confirm turning on the manufacturer schedule. The button will now have turned green and will say ‘notifications on.

Custom service schedules

A custom schedule can be setup to run at the same time as a manufacturer service schedule or instead of it. If you want to replace the manufacturer schedule, just turn it off. If you want to supplement the manufacturer schedule with your own, leave it on.

Adding a custom schedule to a part

Click on the parts tab and click on ‘all parts’ open the part dashboard for the part you want create a custom schedule for by clicking on the part or clicking the ‘view part’ button.
Click ‘view and manage schedules’ At the top of the page click the blue ‘add new’ button you will be taken to a screen ‘create new maintenance schedule’ where you can build your own schedule based on usage hours, time, or a combination of both. Multiple schedules can be set against any one part.

Triggers

Trigger points are for one off events such as ‘first oil change at 50 hours’
Triggers generate a notification after a set number of usage hours or period of time. If you add more than one trigger they will be run one after another.

Repeaters

Repeaters are for events which are recurring such as ‘change oil & replace filters every 6 months or 250 hours’ Repeating instructions are run after your final trigger is reached and will repeat for the specified period.

Editing a custom schedule

Click on the parts tab and click on ‘all parts’ open the part dashboard for the custom schedule you wish to edit by clicking on the part or clicking the ‘view part’ button.
Click ‘view and manage schedules’ Click the ‘edit’ button next to the relevant schedule

Deleting a custom schedule from a part

Click on the parts tab and click on ‘all parts’ open the part dashboard for the custom schedule you wish to remove by clicking on the part or clicking the ‘view part’ button.
Click ‘view and manage schedules’ Click the ‘remove button next to the relevant schedule

Attach a document to a part

Click on the parts tab and click on ‘all parts’ open the part dashboard for the part you wish to add a document to by clicking on the part or clicking the ‘view part’ button. Click ‘add document’ and follow the instructions on screen.
Please note:
You are attaching a document to a Part, not a Notification for that part.
To attach a document to a specific Notification such as ’50 hours service’ you must do this by selecting the Notification.
